Aquarium Cold Water Fish

Chinese high fin banded shark is a
beautiful fish and very popular in aquarium trade. And they are
highly misunderstood species on their requirement, they are very
large fish which can out grow a normal aquarium in few years, so you
require a minimum six feet tank to keep this fish happily when fully
grown.
While young they have a high dorsal
fins and broad vertical black band, which disappears once they become
adult one.

Not suitable for tropical tanks, due to
the temperature requirement better to keep them in cold water setup.
Bottom dwellers , so sinking pellets
are preferable.

Sexing :

Very difficult. Only identifiable when
they attain adulthood. Females have dark purple coloration and
vertical reddish area along their body. Males can be distinguished
from females by their bright red coloration.
